- The programmable base station will notify a specific remote unit, number of units, or
all units, of an incoming call. The XL7200 will even ring units in sequence (ie. if the
primary unit does not answer, the base station will ring a secondary unit, and so on).
- Call Restrictions - The system
administrator can program individual remote units with a variety of call restrictions.
Such restrictions include no outbound calling, no long distance calling, 15 minute maximum
conversation, password protection for remote units, etc. The phone phones may also be used
in a cellular style mode (dial number then press SEND) if desired.

station user places a caller on hold, the caller will hear pleasant music.
- One Touch Dialing - The base
station user can "turbo dial" frequently called numbers with one key stroke.
- Programmable Phone # Memory -

station (20 digit maximum).

station and remote units have jacks for an optional headset, for hands free communication.

XL7200 scans the channel spectrum and automatically selects the clearest communication
channel. The user may also manually select a specific channel or change channels in mid
conversation.
- Auto Selection of Free Line -
When the system is configured with multiple lines, the remote unit automatically selects
the first available line for outgoing calls.
- Informative Backlit LCD Display
- The display of the remote units offers a wide variety of call statistics including line
access, signal strength, battery level, intercom status, standby indicators, call timers,
and more. Users may select from various ring tones to distinguish their remote unit from
others.

The system is comprised of three
integral parts: The base station is the "command" center of the system.
It hooks up to an AC outlet and standard RJ-11 telephone port. The base station receives a
call, and based the setting programmed by the user, rings a particular remote unit or
number of remote units.
The remote unit receives the call from
the base station. The remote unit can be either a small portable handset, an installed
mobile unit (aka car phone), or a fixed site receiver. Aesthetically,
the mobile unit and the fixed site receiver are identical, however each transmits at
different levels of power and use a different power supply/connection. The remote unit can
also initiate calls.
In the case of a multiple line configuration, a base station control unit is used.
The control unit manages the calls and selects lines that remote units may use to make
calls.
